Sand Filters

Sand filters remove suspended solids from the water mechanically, upstream of the carbon vessels, so the carbon isn't blinded by particulate and lasts longer. They sit ahead of the bag filters to cut the particulate loading, and run an automated backwash sequence that reduces the maintenance.
